SeaWorld

Orlando, Florida

In keeping with the tradition of SeaWorld, guest friendly landscaping immersed in color, texture, and form has been the overriding theme for the park. Our work began with the Manatee exhibit which broke the landscape theme park norm. The re-creation of a Florida natural spring became the setting for the Manatee Habitat. The extensive use of artificial and native rock work that is viewed both from above and below the water is combined with the use of a native Florida plant palette. Entertainment within the park included rides such as Journey to Atlantis, Kraken and Manta Coasters. Converting back of house to a small village seaport became the ideal setting for retail stores. Color and garden appointments played an important part of the final design. The Key West themed Dolphin Cove gave the park a more Caribbean feel. Our most recent completion was Antarctica: Empire of the Penguins, which challenged our plant selection to reinforce the cold northern terrain.
