The Client’s program was to develop a venue in which guests could interact with dolphins and other salt and fresh water animals in a South Pacific island setting. The compact site of eleven acres was located in an area with off-site views that required screening in order to truly immerse the guest in an environment that transformed their arrival to this island paradise adventure. Understanding plant culture and habitat was essential to supporting the theme. As the park has matured, new projects have continued to expand and enhance the guest experience. The Coral Reef became a seamless expansion on the eastern edge of the site. Most recently, the Flooded Rainforest offered a new salt water swim venue.
